President Franklin D. Roosevelt
No presidential dog has achieved legendary status quite like Fala, Roosevelt's Scottish Terrier.
Fala traveled by train, ship, and even to international conferences with President Roosevelt. During World War II, Americans adored him, and Roosevelt famously defended Fala during a political speech after opponents criticized government spending on his dog's travel.
Today, Fala is so beloved that he is immortalized in bronze beside President Roosevelt at the Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial in Washington, D.C.

President Barack Obama
